Man kills neighbour for complaining about Kunda
A man was killed and his brother injured during a clash between neighbours in Korangi’s Allah Wala Town on Sunday.
The incident took place within the limits of the Korangi Industrial Area police station. Police and rescue workers reached the scene and transported the casualties to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where the deceased man was identified as 25-year-old Farhanul Haq, son of Mobinul Haq, and the injured as Rehanul Haq, 28.
SHO Humayun Khan said a neighbour of the victims, Mumtaz, had acquired a ‘Kunda’ of electricity, after which someone complained to the power supply company about it, which cut off the illegal connection.
Mumtaz claimed that it was Farhan who had complained to the power supply company and engaged in a fight with him. During the clash, he stabbed Farhan to death and also injured his brother when he attempted to save him. Police have arrested the suspect and registered a case.
